Birthday Cake Stand....the hoooooorrrrrooooooor

So there's this blog that I love looking at called Bent Objects (http://bentobjects.blogspot.com/)
His sense of humor speaks to me at times.  The life of inanimate objects occurs to me often.  Although I have never seen him do this idea, it is along his line of thinking and I salute him.
This is the stuff I'm going to be using.  A couple of dollarstore bowls, birthday candles, wire, sweat, tears, and a few harsh words.

This is the cast, birthday candles and their offspring.

So the life of a candle has only one real enemy.
You eventually have no where left to hide!
Unless you are smart and very, very quiet.
Oh yet another birthday tragedy!!!
It is reassuring to know some have escaped, or have they?

I also have been inspired by Sunni over at http://sunnyslifeinrehab.blogspot.com/ and her wonderful easy
cake stands.

This cake stand is just like my birthday, can't escape, no where to run, today, and just plain funny.

1 plus 1 = BAM!

Ok this is sooo easy I feel bad even posting this.  Not bad enough to not post it though.
  Let's not get that confused.
I do apologize for not bringing to you said bathroom redo.
I did go to a hardware clearance sale (fill a bag for ten bucks!!!).
So I now have pipes and other plumbing stuff.
Ok, so on to a simple project you really could do with your eyes closed.
Simple wood frame (a dollar at Michaels) and vase filler I found at Walmart for a few bucks on clearance.
All you need is, you and some glue.  I used wood glue, because it's wood and it will hold better.
Then put glue on wood frame (small sections at a time, wood glue dries fast) and place pieces of wood on glue.  I did random but you could take the time to do a pattern.  I was going for super easy.
So here it is......TADA!!
I haven't figured out if I wanna paint it or not.  Kinda like the natural look.
So there ya go gluing one thing to another.

I am finally working on my twisted idea for a birthday cake stand.  I'll give ya a sneak peak.
But you can't tell anyone it might ruin the surprise.
I was inspired by

Another birthday tragedy, oh the horror!!
Sometimes ya just got no where to run.
I hope to have this finished by Monday (it's my birthday).  Which is why I'm not very valentiney, kinda rebelling on that.
Until then......

What is it?.......FABULOUS

Let's play a game of what is it?  It's made of wood and has a metal rod in the middle.
Any guesses?
Awwww come on, it's no fun if you don't play.......
Did ya figure it out?  How about what I'm going to turn it into.  Feeling talented?
I will give you a hint...I am using fabric and a pool noodle.  I also painted it red.
So are you confused?  Good. welcome to my state of mind. :) heheheh I love to share.
Well it use to be one of these.
I had hopes of organization when I bought it but the wooden things broke easily.  Then again my family is not dainty or gentle on wooden objects.  After a majority of the wooden rods had broken off.  I put it out of it's misery and broke off the rest.  It hid in shame until I found it the other day and decided to bring it back to life.  A can of red paint and some fabric and a pool noodle and BAM!  Do you see it?
No?  Well let me make it a little more clearer.  Think teenage daughter with lots of headbands all over the floor.  Easily stepped on and broken accessories on the floor.
(Oh excuse the thread it was left over from another project.)
So without further delay introducing my new creation (drum roll please)
HEADBAND HOLDER PARIS STYLE!!!!
TADA!!!!!
why yes, I did mess up on the fabric and put them in different directions (hangs head in shame)
I have just saved me a ton of money in protecting the headbands and the cost was nothing.  It was all stuff I had lying around.
I do have a confession, I still have not installed sink in downstairs bath.  I am hoping to do that this week.  Please  hold me accountable and kick my butt if I don't have pics up within a week.  Thanks <3
